Dancing With Myself - Billy Idol

Bueno un día como hoy necesita una canción como está...
"Dancing with Myself" es una canción de la banda Generation X publicada en 1981, de su álbum Kiss Me Deadly. Fue uno de sus primeros singles con verdadero éxito. Cuando la canción fue publicada, la banda cambió su nombre al más simple "Gen X".
La canción se encuentra en la película del 2007 Flushed Away. También se encuentra en un anuncio de 2008 de La Mutuelle Générale, la compañía de seguros francesa.
Sobre su cantante, Billy Idol, decir que vivió en Worthing antes de acudir a la Universidad de Sussex, solamente un año, antes de unirse al Bromley Contingent, formado por fans de los Sex Pistols. Inspirado en esa banda, armó su primer grupo en 1976 al que bautizó con el nombre de Chelsea. La idea le duró poco tiempo, pero trajo consigo su nombre artístico: Billy Idol.
Durante este período, Idol decidió convertirse en músico, y formó su propia banda, Generation X, en 1976, que firmó con Chrysalis Records y sacaron al mercado tres álbumes de éxito antes de disolverse.
